Final Results
KAHUKU, O'ahu – The University of Hawai'i men's golf team concluded the Turtle Bay Resort College Invitational, Wednesday, at the Turtle Bay Resort (Fazio) Golf Course. The Warriors finished in a three-way tie for eighth place, along with Oregon and Pepperdine, with a total score of 2-over par (285-296-285=866).
UH's top finisher was senior
Robert Berton, shooting rounds of 69, 74, and 67 for a 210 total. Berton moved up 11 places from the second round to tie for 6
th place, his best finish of the season by far. Two shots back from Berton was freshman #T.J. Kua#, who led the tournament individually after the second round, and finished tied for 14
th at 4-under par (70-67-75=212).
Texas won the tournament's team title with rounds of 280, 290, and 273 for an 843 total (-21). San Diego State and UNLV, the second round co-leaders, finished second and third place respectively. Vaughn Snyder out of Ohio State won the individual title at 11-under par (67-71-67=205).
The Turtle Bay Resort College Invitational marked the end of the UH's fall season. The Warriors will continue play in February at the UH-Hilo Invitational in Waikoloa, Hawai'i.
