Game Notes

HONOLULU - Fresh off an improbable upset of nationally ranked Fresno State last week, the University of Hawai'i Warrior football team returns to Honolulu for its Homecoming game Saturday, Oct. 11 against Louisiana Tech. Kickoff for the Western Athletic Conference match-up is 6:05 p.m. at Aloha Stadium.

Hawai'i (2-3, 1-1 WAC) evened its conference record following a 32-29 overtime victory over then-No. 22 Fresno State last Saturday. The win marked the program's first ever on the road against a nationally ranked team. UH benefited from six Fresno State turnovers, blocked a potential game-winning field goal at the end of regulation, and kicked its own 33-yarder by Dan Kelly in overtime to defeat the Bulldogs for the third straight year.

Louisiana Tech (2-2, 0-1) dropped its WAC opener to Boise State, 38-3, last Wednesday in Boise. The Bulldogs have had two byes in the last four weeks following their season-opening victory over Mississippi State and a road loss at Kansas.

UH leads the overall series 5-1 and is a perfect 3-0 against the Bulldogs at Aloha Stadium. Two years ago, the Warriors routed the Bulldogs 61-17, scoring 52 unanswered points after Tech opened a 10-9 lead early in the second quarter.
