Rainbow Wahine Edged By Cal State Fullerton, 4-3

FULLERTON, Calif. - The Hawai'i women's tennis team concluded its four-match road trip with a 4-3 loss to Cal State Fullerton, at Titans Courts on the CSUF campus. The Rainbow Wahine (3-9) finished the trip by winning one of the four matches.

The Titans captured the two of the three doubles point to earn, what proved to be, the decisive doubles point. The Rainbow Wahine won the top doubles spot as Lauren Fitzgerald and Sylvia Jaros partnered for an 8-3 victory over My-ly Tran and Carla Rocha, 8-3.

The teams split the doubles matches as UH won the Nos. 1, 5 and 6 positions. Fitzgerald posted her third consecutive victory with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Ruya Inapulat. Senior Kimberly Curtis posted a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Caroline Freeman at No. 5 and Kana Aikawa swept Chip Dunbar, 6-1, 6-2 at No. 6.

The Rainbow Wahine return to Honolulu, where they will host Utah, March 16, at the UH Tennis Complex.
