Warriors Slip Past Billikens, 4-3

WAIPAHU - After a one month lay-off, the Hawai'i men's tennis team rallied for a 4-3 victory over Saint Louis, Monday, at the Central Oahu Tennis Complex. The Rainbow Warriors, who last competed against Gustavus Adolphus, Feb. 6, improved to 3-9 overall.

After dropping all three doubles matches, UH rallied by taking four of the six singles matches, including sophomore Bryon Weinberg's match-deciding 6-3, 5-7, 6-4 victory over Tom de Larzac at the No. 3 court. Also winning their matches for the Rainbow Warriors were Ryan Sceats (No. 2), Derrick Lajola (No. 4), and Jarrod Diepraam (No. 5).

Former Punahou School star Ikaika Jobe rallied past UH's Dalibor Ptak, 2-6, 7-5, 6-1 at the top singles spot. In addition, he partnered with Sanjeev Paramanathan to defeat Ptak and Sceats, 8-6, at No. 1 doubles.

The Rainbow Warriors return to the court against Sacramento State, Wednesday. First serve is scheduled for 8:00 a.m. at the Central Oahu Tennis Complex.
