Kahuku, HI -The University of Hawai`i men's tennis team improved their record to 7-8, Monday with a win over Marquette University. The Warriors soared over the Golden Eagles, 6-1 at the Turtle Bay Resort.

The Warriors captured the first point of the day, sweeping Marquette in doubles play. On the No. 1 court Malino Oda and Justin Menolascino beat Marquette's Raj Gill and Justin Holson, 9-7. In a similar match Ryan Sceats and Jarrod Diepraam pulled a 9-7 win from Marquette's Ian Kawas and Troy Delmege.

On the singles side, the Warriors captured wins on courts No. 1-No. 5. Kiki Tesche posted the only loss for the men all day when he fell, 6-3, 6-4 to Creigton Macy.

In a close match, Reginaldo Moralejo split sets with Marquette's Eigintas Vedrickas before pulling out a win, 6-2, 4-6, 10-4. Moralejo improved his record to 10-5 on the season. Ryan Sceats posted a win at the No. 4 spot improving his record to 8-3 with a victory over Justin Holsen, 6-0, 6-1. Sceats has the best record on the team this season with a .727 winning percentage.

The Warriors next travel to California on a five-match road trip beginning with a dual meet, Mar. 21 at Westmont College in Santa Barbara and ending at the Anteater Classic in Irvine, Mar. 27-30.
