Waves Crash Warriors, 6-1

MALIBU, Calif. – The Hawai'i men's tennis team suffered a 6-1 loss to No. 21 Pepperdine, Thursday, at the Ralph-Straus Tennis Center. The Warriors dropped its second consecutive match to fall to 4-6 on the season.

UH lost five of six singles matches and two of three doubles contests. The lone Warrior victory in singles came at the No. 6 position, where Jarrod Diepraam rallied for a 4-6, 6-2, (10-8) victory over Kevin Borzenski. In doubles, the No. 3 team of Reginaldo Moralejo and Francisco Brignole snapped a three-match slide with an 8-5 win over Borzenksi and Alexis Rafidison.

However, in No. 4 singles, Moralejo had his six-match win streak come to an end against Scott Doerner, 6-2, 6-2. In dual matches this season, Moralejo has a team-best 6-2 individual record.

The Warriors continue its eight-match road trip with a dual meet against UC Riverside, Friday.
