IRVINE, Calif. – The University of Hawai‘i men’s tennis team defeated Southwest Missouri State, 6-1, Friday, on the second day of the UCI Anteater Classic. The Warriors (15-9) will face Denver, Saturday, in the fifth place match, which will conclude their 10-day road trip through California.
The Warriors started the day by taking two of the three doubles matches to take a quick 1-0 lead. UH proceeded to win five of the six singles matches with its only slip up from Reginaldo Moralejo in the No. 1 position.
Malino Oda, Jorge Gonzalez, Lincoln Leeder and Kai Ohuchi found relative ease in their matches, each winning in straight sets.
