HONOLULU -- The University of Hawai'i women's water polo team dropped two matches to finish third at the UC San Diego NoGRIP Invitational at the Canyonview Pool Sunday.
Hawai'i fell to Long Beach State, 6-3 in the first match. Karin van Hoff, Chelsea Garner-Prohs, and Makana Whitford all scored goals for the Rainbow Wahine.
Van Hoff, Erin Kocher, and Beth Novick all scored in the Rainbow Wahine's 8-3 loss to Loyola Marymount, the tournament champion.
The Rainbow Wahine are 5-3 on the season. The team will take a two week break before departing for California to take on the Bears on March 1.
