- Ranked No. 56 in the nation, Lajola beat No. 49 Kalim Stewart of California 7-5, 7-5. Cal was ranked No. 25 as a team.
- Lajola won two matches against No. 57 San Diego State later in the week to help the Rainbow Warriors win their first dual match of the season.
- Lajola was named the WAC Player of the Week for the second time in his career.
