All-Series Team
Marysville, CA – University of Hawai'i pitcher Patrick O'Rourke was named to the 2011 Horizon Air Summer Series All-Series team. The announcement was made by the Horizon Air Summer Series with O'Rourke earning a first team selection as a relief pitcher.
The Horizon Air Summer Series is an eleven-week long competition among elite college summer wood bat baseball clubs from the Western United States. O'Rourke played for the Klamath Falls Gems who finished 15-24-1 in the Don McCullough division.
O'Rourke appeared in 16 games out of the bullpen with one start, notching three saves with 22 total strikeouts. He logged 36.1 innings and posted a 3-4 record with a 2.73 earned run average. In a late-season appearance at Corvallis, he pitched three innings of relief, retiring eight of the nine batters he faced.
O'Rourke was a junior last season with the Rainbows. Originally from Elk Grove, Calif., he played at Consumes River College for two seasons before transferring to UH last season.
