Renae Shigemura joined the University of Hawai‘i Athletics Department in October 2005.
Shigemura is currently an assistant athletic trainer, who works primarily with women’s volleyball and women’s tennis programs.
Previously, she worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer/casual hire from 1999-2004 and during her time at UH has worked with football, men’s volleyball, women’s volleyball, women’s basketball, swimming and diving, water polo, men’s and women’s tennis, and softball programs.
Shigemura also served as athletic trainer at Mililani High School from 2004-05.
The Honolulu native earned her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from UH in 1999. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association.
Shigemura resides in ‘Aiea, O‘ahu.
