QiongJie "Ajie" Drew

QiongJie "Ajie" (Huang) Drew begins her first season as the men's and women's diving coach. She returns to her alma mater after a legendary collegiate diving career.

Drew is arguably the most decorated diver in Hawai‘i history and an inductee into the UH Circle of Honor
. In 2005, she made UH history by becoming Hawai'i's first-ever NCAA national diving champion, winning the 1-meter springboard title with a record-breaking meet score of 327.00. Over her three seasons competing for the Rainbow Wahine, she earned eight CSCAA All-American honors, placing third in the 1-meter in 2006 and fourth in the 3-meter in 2005.

Dominant at the conference level, Drew was a five-time Western Athletic Conference (WAC) champion—winning the 1-meter title three consecutive years (2004–2006) and the 3-meter title twice (2004–2005). She earned WAC Diver of the Year honors in both 2004 and 2006
.

She played a pivotal role in leading Hawai'i to its first WAC team championship in 2006 while holding both UH and WAC 3-meter records
. Alongside her athletic accomplishments, she excelled academically as a CSCAA Academic All-American.

Following her collegiate career, the China-born diver moved to California, launched a competitive comeback after a multi-year hiatus, and went on to compete at the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team Trials
.

Now back at her alma mater as head diving coach under head coach Steve Allnutt, Drew brings a vast depth of experience spanning the NCAA, elite American competition, and international diving
. She leads the Rainbow Wahine and Rainbow Warrior divers at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex, combining high-level technical expertise with a passion for athlete development and excellence.
