Neal Iwamoto first joined the University of Hawai‘i Athletics Department in 1998.
In his role as an assistant sports media relations director, Iwamoto has served as the primary media contact for more than a dozen different sports during his tenure. He currently works with UH’s football, men’s basketball, beach volleyball and sailing programs.
The Honolulu native earned his degree in history from Santa Clara University in 1995. He also holds a journalism degree from the University of Hawai‘i.
Iwamoto is a member of College Sports Communicators, the Football Writers Association of America, and the U.S. Basketball Writers Association. He and his wife Natalie have two children and reside in Honolulu.
