David Estermann joined the University of Hawai‘i Athletics Department in July 2006.
Estermann was named President of ‘Ahahui Koa Anuenue (AKA) in 2026, where he leads the organization’s fundraising efforts in support of UH Athletics in partnership with its Board of Directors. Prior to becoming President, he served AKA as Chief Operations Officer and Director of Premium Seating.
The Honolulu native attended the University of Puget Sound, earning a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs in 2003 and Master of Arts in Teaching in 2004. He later earned an Executive MBA from the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa Shidler College of Business in 2013.
Estermann was a three-year letterwinner in football at Puget Sound and served as the program’s wide receivers coach in 2003.
He and his wife, Jackie, reside in Honolulu with their two daughters.
