Robyn Ah Mow-Santos

Robyn Ah Mow-Santos is in her fifth season with the Rainbow Wahine after an impressive collegiate and professional playing career. As one of the premier setters in Rainbow Wahine volleyball history, she brings a wealth of experience having competed and won at the highest levels. Under her tutilage, former UH setter Mita Uiato has earned three all-league and all-region selections and was named as an honorable mention AVCA All-American in 2012.

Ah Mow-Santos played for Coach Shoji at UH from 1993-96 and was a two-time AVCA first-team All-America selection (1995 and ‘96), and a three-time all-conference performer (1994, ‘95 in Big West and 1996 in WAC). The Honolulu native ranks third in the UH record book in career assists (4,313) and fourth in assists per game (11.23), and in her final two seasons at Hawai‘i, she guided the team to a 66-4 combined record which included an appearance in the NCAA title match in 1996. Ah Mow-Santos was inducted into the UH Sports Circle of Honor in 2006. 

After her career with the Rainbow Wahine, Ah Mow-Santos was a student assistant for the team for two seasons as she continued to pursue her bachelor’s degree. In 1999, she joined the US national team full-time  and played in three Olympics. She started at setter for the USA in the 2000 and ‘04 Olympic Games and in 2008, helped guide the USA to a silver-medal finish at the Beijing Olympics. 

Ah Mow-Santos also played professionally overseas. She played in Italy and Portugal and most recently for VBC Volero Zurich in Switzerland where she earned league Most Valuable Player honors. 

Ah Mow-Santos prepped at McKinley High School in Honolulu where she was a four-year first-team all-Oahu Interscholastic Association East selection and a three-time first team all-state pick. She graduated in 1993.

She is married to Niobel Rafael Santos and they live in Kapolei with their son, Jordon and daughter Jream.
