2008-09 (Freshman): Competed in four tournaments…ranked third on the team with an average of 78.00 strokes per round…earned top individual at the Price’s Give ‘Em Five Invitational with a low 54-hole score of 227 (76-74-77)…shot a low round of 72 at the Kent Youel Invitational.

Prep: A 2008 graduate of Maui High School in Kahului, Maui…earned four letters in women’s golf for coach Jerry Toyama…named league player of the year as a junior...also finished runner-up at the 2007 state tournament…took fourth at the league championship and led team to runner-up team finish...placed 10th at the state tournament as a senior...fifth in the girls 15-18 division at the U.S. Army Junior Classic Golf Tournament...low round 69 (Par 72) at Kahili Golf Course.
 
Personal: Born in Wailuku, Maui…plans to major in interactive game design…parents are Judy and Melvin Kawano of Kahului, Maui.
