Tim Boyce completed his 11th season with the Hawai'i track and field and cross country programs in 2024-25. After spending his first three seasons at UH as the head coach of the Rainbow Wahine cross country team, Boyce was elevated to lead both programs on July 19, 2017. Prior to the start of the 2022-23 season, Boyce moved into the role of Director of Cross Country/Track and Field and oversees both programs while remaining the head coach of the cross country program.

COACHING HIGHLIGHTS
  • Has led UH to four consecutive top-four finishes at both the MPSF and Big West Championships.
  • Hawai'i finished fourth at both the MPSF indoor and Big West outdoor championships in 2025.
  • Four athletes qualified for the NCAA First Round following the outdoor season – the most the program has sent to the NCAA postseason since 2016.
  • Guided the Rainbow Wahine cross country program to a fifth-place finish at the 2024 Big West Championships - matching their best finish since re-joining the conference in 2012.
  • Freshman Lucy Milliner posted the highest finish by a UH runner since 2016 at Big West Championships and earned Big West Freshman of the Year honors.
  • Led the Rainbow Wahine to a runner-up finish at the 2024 MPSF Indoor Championships - the best-ever indoor conference finish in program history.
  • Guided UH to its third consecutive top-three conference finish outdoors at the Big West Championships, coming in third.
  • The 'Bows won a school record five gold medals at the Big West Championships (Hallee Mohr - Discus, Montserrat Montanes i Arbo - Hammer, Isabella Kneeshaw - 400m, 4x100m relay, 4x400m relay).
  • Worked with two All-Americans - Hallee Mohr and Lilian Turban - the first time in school history that two different UH athletes have earned USTFCCCA All-America honors in a season.
  • Helped lead the outdoor squad to a third-place finish at the 2023 Big West Championship.
  • Guided high jumper Lilian Turban to All-America status with a fourth-place finish at the 2023 NCAA Championships.
  • Coached the 2022 outdoor track and field team to second place at the Big West Championship the best finish for the program ever.
  • Coached the 2022 indoor track and field squad to a third-place overall finish at MPSF Championships.
  • Finished the 2021 outdoor track and field season with a five-year best 51 point performance at the Big West Championships.
  • Capped the 2021 cross country season at NCAA West Region Championship, finishing 34th.
  • Guided the 2019 cross country squad at NCAA West Region Championship to a five-place improvement, finishing 30th.
  • Capped the 2016 cross country campaign the program's best Big West Conference finish since joining the league in 2012.
  • The fifth-place finish in 2016 was also the highest for a UH squad at a conference meet since the 2004 season.
  • During the 2016 NCAA West Regional Camille Campos led the Rainbow Wahine to a historic team finish of 25th, the highest since 2004.
  • During the 2016 track season, Boyce coached Montana Martinez to the school record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
  • Boyce brought the Wahine back to the NCAA West Regional for the first time in four years during his first season, placing four runners in regional competition.
  • During his tenure at Pacific, he coached three cross country runners to the NCAA Division III Championship and seven Northwest Conference (NWC) track and field champions.
  • In 2013, the Pacific men’s track and field team placed third at the NWC Championships, while recording the second-most points in school history at a conference meet.
  • Under his tutelage at SUNY Oswego, 10 athletes competed in the NCAA Division III Championships, while his program broke more than 100 school records and won numerous State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) and New York State Collegiate Track Conference (NYCTC) individual titles.
  • At Lane, was two-time Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges (NWAACC) Southern Region Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year and mentored numerous individual conference champions.
  • Was a member of the coaching staff recognized as the Northwest Conference's Women's Cross Country Coaching Staff of the Year at Willamette.
  • Is a master's-level certified official by the United States Track and Field (USATF), and he has been certified by the governing body as a Level II Coach.
