Prior to UH:  Played one season at St. John’s University in Queens, N.Y...appeared in 46 games with 29 starts primarily at second base...hit .198 overall (16-for-81) with five doubles, one home run, five runs scored, and 12 RBI for the Red Storm.

 

Prep:  A 2008 graduate of Bishop Amat Memorial High School in La Puente, Calif…played softball for four years and soccer for three years…named the soccer team's Most Valuable Player in 2006 and earned the Most Improved Player soccer award in 2004…earned the school's student-athlete award all four years and received the Athlete Scholar Award in 2008 with a cumulative GPA of over 4.0...a member of the National Honor Society...played for the Sudden Impact club softball team for four years.

Personal:  Born in Glendora, Calif…is a biology major…has a younger sister and a younger brother…parents are Raymond and Elsa Paragas of West Covina, Calif.
