Biography

2009-10: Sailed in four coed regattas and six women’s… finished seventh at the PCCSC Women’s Singlehandeds (Oct. 12)…helped UH tie for second at the PCCSC Sloop Championship (Oct. 3-4)…sailed on the fourth-place B team at the women’s Pacific Coast Championship (Apr. 24-25) helping the team take third overall…also took third at the South Florida Women’s Intersectional (Feb. 20-21)… sailed in B division as UH finished third in the PCCSC Women’s Championship (Apr. 24-25) and qualified for the women’s nationals for the 11th time in the last 13 years….participated in the ICSA Team Race Championship (May 29-31) helping the team finish 11th.

2008-09: An all-PCCSC crew selection for the second straight year… competed in ten regattas…sailed in four women’s regattas and all seven coed spring regattas…helped UH finish runner-up in three regattas—the PCCSC Women’s Fall Championship (Nov. 8-9), at the PCCSC Women’s Championship (Apr. 24-25) and at the PCCSC Dinghy Championship (Apr. 11-12)…participated in the women’s and coed ICSA National Championship Semifinals helping the women take 10th place and the coed team take 14th...also a two-time PCCSC Sailor of the Week honoree…earned women’s honors after helping team to fourth in the South Florida Women’s Intersectional and coed honors after teaming with Andrew Meade for a first-place finish in the A division of the PCCSC Dinghy Championship

2007-08: An all-PCCSC crew selection....sailed in 10 regattas, including eight coed and two women’s...part of a coed squad that finished in the the top three in six regattas....helped UH to a third-place finish in the ICSA Fall Dinghy Championship...finished first, along with Mike Scott in the A division, to help UH capture the the Rainbow Invite (Jan. 19-20)...part of the team that finished runner-up at the PCCSC Women’s Championship (Apr. 19-20) in Honolulu, qualifying UH for the nationals for the ninth time in 11 years...that squad finished 15th at the ICSA Women’s National Championship...also helped UH make its 10th ever appearance—and sixth in the eight years—in the ICSA Dinghy nationals with an appearance in the Western Semifinals.

2006-07: Sailed in eight regattas, all in the spring...competed in five coed and three women’s events...helped crew the Rainbows to a first-place finish in the B division during the PCCSC Dinghy Championship (Apr. 28-29)...also part of the squad that finished fifth in the 24-school St. Francis Intersectional (Mar. 1-Apr. 1).

Prep: A 2006 graduate of Sacred Hearts Academy in Honolulu, O‘ahu... earned three letters in sailing and one in fencing...sailing team captured the league title in 2006...given the school’s student-athlete award.

Personal: Born in New York, N.Y...a biology major...has two older sisters and two older brothers...father is Brian McLoughlin of Kailua, O‘ahu.
