2004-2005: An honorable mention All-American and all-district selection...sailed in five regattas...placed first in the A divisions of both the ICSA Dinghy and PCIYRA Dinghy...also a member of ICSA and PCIYRA team cfrews...just the second sailor int he history of the dinghy nationals to place first int he A division three-straight years.

2003-2004: Participated in nine regattas...a three time All-America skipper...finished first at the Rainbow Invite, PCIYRA Team championship and the PCIYRA Dinghy championship...capped off the season by leading hawai`i to its first ICSA Dinghy National Championship.

2002-2003: Finished first at the PCC Men's Singlehanded qualifying him for the PCIYRA Men's Singlehanded...placed first in the Rainbow Invite A division...first was also received at the St. Francis Intersectional A division...top honors also at the PCIYRA Dinghy Championship, A division...named to the PCIYRA All District Coed Team for the spring.

2001-2002: Sailed in 11 regattas...an ICSA All-American...named All-PCIYRA skipper for the coe division as a freshman...qualified for ICSA Men's North American Singlehanded Championships by placing second at the PCIYRA Men's Singlhanded Championships...first coed sailor to represent Hawai`i at the Nationals since 1994...helped Hawai`i to finish third at the ICSA North American Dinghy Championship...aided UH to a fifth place finish at the ICSA North American Team Race Championship.

Prep: A 2001 graduate of University of San Diego High School in San Diego, Calif...member of the 1998 national championship team where he placed first overall and in the A division...recieved the Spirit of the Don's award...also participated in surfing.

Personal: Born Dec. 29, 1982, in San Diego, Calif...lists favorite school subject as ceramics and My Side of the Mountain as his favorite book...enjoys surfing, trailblazing and playing the guitar in his spare time...son of John and Cindy Lake of San Diego, Calif.
