Biography

2001-02 (Senior): One of the most prolific 3-point shooters in school history…ranks third all-time in 3-pointers made (159) and second in 3-pointers attempted (426)…averaged a career-high 10.0 ppg this season…ranked seventh in the WAC in 3-pointers made per game (1.9)…had a career night in victory at Fresno State (Mar. 2), scoring 27 points with seven 3-pointers…had 22 points including six 3-pointers in victory at Tulsa (Jan. 26), his 100th career game…scored 18 points, including four 3-pointers in victory over Nevada (Mar. 8) in WAC Tournament semifinals…scored in double figures 13 times this season…named WAC player of the week (Jan. 28)…matched career-high of 22 points against Louisiana Tech (Jan. 10)…had 14 3-pointers in consecutive victories over Rice (Jan. 24), Tulsa (Jan. 26), and Boise State (Jan. 31)…also scored 22 points, including four 3-pointers against Drake (Nov. 18)…had 20 points with four 3-pointers at Rice (Jan. 24)…posted 17 points and three 3-pointers against SMU (Jan. 12) and San Jose State (Feb. 16)…missed Alcorn State (Dec. 10) game due to injured thigh…added 14 points and career-high six rebounds vs. Northwestern State (Nov. 27)…team tri-captain…had 28 career double-figure point games…six 20-point games in career.

2000-01 (Junior): Started the final nine games, leading team to a 7-2 mark…started 12 games overall and appeared in 28…scored 19 points and hit five 3-pointers in WAC Tournament title game against Tulsa (Mar. 9)…recorded a career-high 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting versus TCU in regular season (Feb. 22)...hit four 3-pointers and scored 19 points against Manhattan (Dec. 27) in Rainbow Classic...missed three games and most of another three due to sprained ankle...had nine points and career-high six assists versus SMU (Feb.15).

1999-2000 (Sophomore): Played off the bench in 29 games…scored in double figures in five games…led team in 3-point field goal percentage (.452)…had the second highest 3-point field goal percentage for a season (.452)…fouled out one game (Mar. 10 at Fresno State)…averaged 5.2 ppg, 1.2 rpg, 13.8 mpg…named to United Airlines Tip-off Tournament all-tournament team.

1998-99 (Freshman): As a true freshman, started in six of 25 games…played point guard and shooting guard positions…scored in double figures in five games…hit clutch free throws in wins over New Mexico (2/6) and San Jose State (2/25)…scored career-high 19 points, including 5-of-6 from 3-point range in New Mexico victory.

Prep: A 1998 graduate of Long Beach Poly High School in Calif.…earned four letters in basketball…named the city’s defensive player-of-the-year as a senior…also received all-state, all-city and All-CIF honors as a senior…a high school All-American nominee…helped team to CIF sectional championship as a junior…a four-year honor roll student…member of several clubs, including Young Black Scholars and Black Onyx.
