Brad Davidson

Australia native Brad Davidson joined the Hawai‘i coaching staff as an assistant coach in the summer of 2021. He oversees the Rainbow Warrior guards while also serving as the team’s offensive coordinator.

COACHING HIGHLIGHTS
  • Helped UH to a 22-win season and its first-ever Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic title in 2022-23.
  • Guided JoVon McClanahan to a breakthrough junior season in which he earned all-conference honors, 
  • As shooting coach, guided the Rainbow Warriors to a prolific 2021-22 season as UH led the Big West in three-pointers per game (8.1) and set a new single-game three-point record with 18 versus Hawai'i Pacific.
  • Helped guide South Dakota to a 20-win season in 2019-20 and double-digit conference victories in each of the last two years. 
  • The Coyotes were also one of the top shooting teams in the country in that same span, finishing in the top 10 in the nation in three-point percentage.
  • Also coached at North Dakota, helping the Fighting Hawks to the 2017 NCAA Tournament – the program's first-ever bid – after  sweeping the Big Sky Conference regular-season and tournament titles.  
  • Began his coaching career in his native Australia, coaching a pair of professional squads, while also working with both the men’s and women’s national teams as a shooting coach and scout.

PLAYING HIGHLIGHTS
  • Played 13 years in the National Basketball League, the top division in Australia. 
  • Ranks as one of the NBL's all-time best shooters with more than 600 career three-pointers and a 40.1 percent career mark from behind the arc.
  • Member of the Australian national team that captured gold at the 2006 Commonwealth Games.
