COACHING HIGHLIGHTS
  • Spent two separate stints at the University of San Diego, where he coached for a combined 10 seasons.
  • Was the defensive coordinator at USD from 2013-17 and most recently coached linebackers from 2020-22.
  • USD led the Pioneer Football League in total defense in 2016 and were No. 1 in scoring defense in 2016 and ’17.
  • As defensive coordinator, the Toreros boasted an overall record of 46-17 and advanced to the FCS Playoffs for the first time in program history.
  • In his first stint at USD, helped the Toreros win the league six times in seven seasons and reach the FCS Playoffs twice.
  • Coached two-time, first-team All-Pioneer League cornerback Al-Rilwan Adeyemi, who left USD as the program’s all-time leader in interceptions with 15.
  • At Texas State, coached two All-Southland Conference cornerbacks.
  • First collegiate coaching stint was at College of the Desert from 1999-2001 and returned for the 2007 season which resulted in a conference co-championship and Golden Empire Bowl appearance.
  • Believed to be only the third UNLV player to serve as full-time football coach at the school.

PLAYING HIGHLIGHTS
  • Played linebacker at College of the Desert for two seasons from 1994-95, earning all-conference honors in 1995.
  • Played one season at Division II Quincy University in Illinois in 1996.
  • Returned to his hometown and lettered at UNLV in 1998 before earning his bachelor’s degree from the school in 1999.
  • Prepped at Eldorado High School in Las Vegas.
