COACHING HIGHLIGHTS

  • Named to 247 Sports “30 Under 30 List” as one of the 30 rising stars in college coaching under the age of 30 
  • Coached a Fresno State offense that averaged more than 30 points per game and was among the national leaders in numerous categories in 2021, including No. 9 in passing offense and No. 14 in total offense. 
  • Helped Fresno State crack the Top 25 in 2021 after wins over nationally-ranked squads UCLA and San Diego State while concluding the season as New Mexico Bowl Champions. 
  • Was part of an Idaho State squad in 2018 that also crashed the Top 25 national poll. 
  • The Bengals finished the season with 5,403 yards of total offense, the third most since 1981, and ranked among the nation’s best in multiple offensive categories, including sixth in total offense.
  • In the summer of 2018 held a minority internship position with the NFL's San Francisco 49ers, assisting with the offensive line. 
  • Part of a Nebraska squad that was ranked in the Top 10 in 2016 and generated 3,000 passing yards and 2,000 rushing yards in the same season for just the third time in program history. 
  • Assisted with the Nebraska offensive line for two years that finished No. 15 nationally in least sacks allowed and was named to the mid-season Joe Moore Award Honor roll.
  • Coached multiple all-conference players, highlighted by All-American Brian Fineanganofo (Idaho State) and 2019 NFL draft pick Netane Muti (Fresno State).

  • Wife: Corinne; Children: Malia and Masina
  • Father Jesse Sapolu was an All-American at Hawaii before earning four Super Bowl rings with the San Francisco 49ers.
  • Brother London also played for the Rainbow Warriors.
