Former University of Hawai‘i receiver Craig Stutzmann enters his second season as the Warrior football team’s graduate assistant.

Stutzmann lettered for UH?from 1998-2001 after graduating from powerhouse St. Louis School in Honolulu, where he was a member of three O‘ahu Prep Bowl championship teams. He served as the Crusaders’ junior varsity head coach before returning to UH as a graduate assistant.

As a sophomore at UH, he was a starting slotback for the NCAA’s all-time turnaround team, which improved from 0-12 in 1998 to 9-4 in 1999 for a share of the Western Athletic Conference championship and Jeep O‘ahu Bowl appearance. Stutzmann was the second-leading receiver on that team with 68 receptions and nine total touchdowns. As a senior, he was voted team co-captain by his coaches and teammates.

Stutzmann finished his career ranked fifth in school history with 177 receptions for 2,025 yards and 18 touchdowns in 46 games. He earned his bachelor’s degree in political science in 2002.

Stutzmann and his wife, Briana, have an infant son, Baylor.
