Chris Jimenez joined the Hawai‘i baseball staff prior to the start of the 2025 season and serves as the Director of Catching Development & Scouting. He arrives at UH after spending the previous two years coaching junior college ball in Southern California while also working on coaching staffs in collegiate summer leagues.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
  • Helped lead UH to its second consecutive 35-win season in 2025, the first time it has won 35-plus games in back-to-back years since 1991-92.
  • Spent the last two seasons as an assistant coach at Mt. San Antonio College, working primarily with the catchers and hitters.
  • Helped lead Mt. SAC to a 30-15 overall record and CCCAA Super Regional appearance in 2024.
  • Mt. SAC led the South Coast League in average (.318), runs (385), OBP (.423) and fewest strikeouts (228) in 2024.
  • Worked the last two summers in collegiate summer leagues, working with hitters for the Willmar Stingers of the Northwoods League in 2024, and the pitchers for the Kenai Peninsula Oilers of the Alaskan Summer League in 2023.
  • Guided the Stingers to a record-breaking offensive season in 2024, setting Northwoods League records in average (.304), runs scored (589), hits (742) and home runs (75).
  • A four-year starter at catcher for Long Beach State from 2018-22.
  • Totaled 147 games played and 116 starts over four seasons, finishing collegiate career with eight homers, 65 RBIs and 21 doubles.
  • Blasted six home runs as a senior in 2022, including a walk-off homer against the Rainbow Warriors on Mar. 19 in Long Beach.
  • An honorable mention All-Big West selection as a true freshman in 2018.
