Former Rainbow Warrior infielder Pi'ikea (PK) Kitamura joined the coaching staff at his alma mater as a volunteer assistant for the 2019 season.
During his four-year stint with UH from 2010-2013, Kitamura was a consistent ironman, playing in at least 50 games in each of his four seasons with the program. The Kane'ohe native played in 225 games in his career, making 223 starts, while providing solid glove work in the field.
After graduating from UH in 2013, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology, Kitamura played one season in the Oakland A's organization. The 2019 campaign will mark his first season coaching at the collegiate level.
