2022 HAWAI'I WATER POLO SEASON HIGHLIGHTS The Rainbow Wahine finished the season 16-6 overall with a 6-0 record in the Big West Conference. The Rainbow Wahine claimed their fifth overall regular season title and finished runner-up in the Big West Conference Tournament. Student athletes Elyse Lemay-Lavoie and Morgan McDowall were named to the all-Big West first team. Student athletes Lara Luka and Alba Bonamusa Boix were named to the all-Big West second team. Student athletes Molly DiLalla and Paula Prats Rodriguez were named all-Big West honorable mention. Student athlete Morgan McDowall was also named Freshman of the Year in the Big West Conference, the second by Hawai‘I in as many years and fourth overall. Elyse Lemay-Lavoie took home two Big West Player of the Week awards, while Lara Luka earned one as well. Elyse Lemay-Lavoie, Morgan McDowall, and Lara Luka were among three Rainbow Wahine to earn ACWPC All-America honors. FANS RETURN TO THE DUKETwo years after the beginning of the pandemic, Hawai‘i was finally able to host its first home match with fans when they hosted USC on March 18.
