SEASON HIGHLIGHTS

 

  • UH posted a 17-11 mark and enjoyed a winning overall record for the ninth time in the last 10 seasons. 

 

  • The ‘Bows finished 10-5 and clinched third-place for its best Big West finish since 2015-16.  

 

  • UH’s 6-0 league start was its best-ever since joining the Big West in 2012-13 and tied the best start ever in conference play stretching back to WAC play in 1979-80.  

 

  • UH advanced to the Big West Tournament semifinals for the first time since 2016 with a 68-67 win over UC Riverside. 

 

  • The ‘Bows, who led the Big  West in three-pointers per game (8.1) drilled a school record 18 three-pointers in a blowout win over Hawai‘i Pacific on December 8, easily surpassing the old record of 14.

 

  • UH limited four straight opponents to under 60 points in January, a program first in 40 years, and finished 36th nationally in scoring defense (64.1 ppg).

 

WELCOME BACK

After playing in front of empty seats in 2020-21, the Rainbow Warriors welcomed back fans for the first time in nearly 20 months and the SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center was once again buzzing with electricity.

MEMORABLE MOMENT

In a comeback for the ages, UH recovered from a 19-point deficit to take down defending Big West champs UC Santa Barbara and win its seventh straight game in front of a raucous home crowd.

A MILESTONE WIN

In the  regular-season finale at CSUN, head coach Eran Ganot surpassed Red Rocha for second in UH's all-time wins column. Ganot concluded the year with 114 wins, trailing only the great Riley Wallace (334 wins).
