SERIES INFORMATION
  • UH defeated the Aggies for the second time this season in a rare, in-season, home-and-home series. The Warriors also defeated NMSU 41-21 in Las Cruces on Sept. 25.
  • UH improved to 10-0 all-time overall against the Aggies and 6-0 all-time in Honolulu.
  • UH has scored 40 points or more in eight of the 10 meetings and has averaged 44.2 points per game in the series.
  • The teams will meet again six of the next seven years including in Las Cruces in 2022.
 

TEAM STREAKS/TRENDS  
  • UH has out-scored its opponents 55-10 in the first quarter at home this year.
  • UH has won its last seven non-conference home games.
  • UH has rushed for better than 200 yards in three of its last four games after finishing with 263 yards, five yards short of its season high.



INDIVIDUAL STREAKS/TRENDS 
  • Calvin Turner Jr. has scored in six of eight games this season after his 75-yard scoring run in the third quarter. Turner has a team-leading nine touchdowns this season.
 
 
TEAM NOTES
  • UH hosted fans for the first time since the 2019 season when a crowd of 1,000 attended the game at the Clarence T.C. Ching Complex.
  • The late Colt Brennan had his #15 jersey retired on an evening commemorating the legacy of UH’s first and only Heisman Trophy finalist. Brennan joins Tommy Kaulukukui (#32) – the school’s first-ever All-American – as the only other player in program history to have his jersey number retired.
  • Three of UH’s touchdowns came on plays of 75 yards or longer – two interception returns and a rush.
  • UH has a combined five touchdowns of 75 yards or longer in the last two games.
  • UH returned two interceptions for a touchdown. The last time that happened was in 2006 at Idaho.
  • UH has scored on its opening drive in each of the last four games. UH capped its first drive vs NMSU with a  41-yard field goal by Matthew Shipley.
  • UH has forced 11 turnovers in its last three wins, including five turnovers forced in two wins against New Mexico State.
  • UH did not record a sack for the first time this season.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES
  • Dedrick Parson got his first career start as a Warrior in place of an injured Dae Dae Hunter. Parson finished with 215 yards of total offense (161 rushing, 54 receiving) and three touchdowns.
  • Matthew Shipley has made nine straight field goals after nailing both a 41-yarder in the first quarter and 27-yarder in the third quarter. Shipley is 10-of-11 on field goals this season.
  • Khoury Bethley returned an interception 79 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter for his first career touchdown.
  • The return was tied for the eighth longest in school history and the first interception return for a touchdown since Roe Farris’ school-record 100-yard return in the 2019 regular-season finale vs. Army.
  • Bethley has three interceptions in the last two home games.
  • Darius Muasau followed suit with a 75-yard return of his own for his first career touchdown.
  • Brayden Schager completed 25-of-29 passes for 86.2%, not far off from the school record for completion percentage (minimum 20 attempts) held by Sean Schroeder (87.9%, 29-of-33, at Navy, 2013).
  • Penei Pavihi missed his first start of the season and was replaced by Isaiah Tufaga who made his second start of the season and fourth of his UH career. Tufaga finished with a season-high six tackles and added a pass break up.
