SERIES INFORMATION
  • Boise State leads the all-time series 14-3. The Broncos have won the last eight meetings dating back to 2008.
  • BSU has won all eight meetings in Boise.
  • After winning the first two games of the series in 1996 (20-14) and ’97 (34-19), UH has since lost 14 of 15 with its only win a 39-27 victory in Honolulu in 2007. 
STREAKS/TRENDS  
  • UH’s four-game winning streak came to a halt. It was the team’s longest streak since winning six-straight in 2010.
  • UH has scored on its opening drive in four of the last five games (2 TDs, 2 FGs).
  • UH is 0-3 this year against ranked teams and has lost its last 13 games to nationally ranked teams. UH's last win over a nationally ranked foe was against No. 19 Nevada in 2010 at Aloha Stadium.
  • UH is 1-19 all-time against nationally ranked teams on the road with its only victory against No. 22 Fresno State in 2008. Since then, UH has lost its last eight games.
  • UH owns the longest streak in the country at 144 games without allowing a punt block. Hawai‘i last had a punt blocked by Notre Dame in 2008. 
TEAM NOTES
  • UH’s 10 points is a season-low (previous low 14 points vs SDSU) and its lowest output since being shutout at Utah State in 2017.
  • UH’s also had a season-low 320 yards (previous low 347 vs. San Diego State).
  • UH’s three points at halftime was its lowest output this season. UH has scored seven points or less in the first half in three of its last four games. 
  • UH has lost the turnover battle in 10 of 14 games this year.
  • UH played its 14th game of the season, tying the program record for most games in a season. UH played 14 games seven previous times (2002, ’03, ’06, ’08, ’10, ’16, and ’18).
  • UH was in the red-zone three times and failed to score in the red-zone for the first time since being shut out at Utah State in 2017.
  • UH did not record a passing touchdown for the second time this season. The last time UH did not record a passing touchdown multiple games in a season was 2017 (vs. San Diego State and at Utah State). 
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
  • Miles Reed found the end zone for the eighth time this year with a 21-yard rush in the fourth quarter.  Reed’s eight rushing touchdowns are the most since 2016 when Steven Lakalaka rushed for 13 TDs.
  • Ryan Meskell nailed a 47-yard field on UH’s opening possession and has hit seven of his last eight attempts.
  • Kai Kaneshiro recorded his third interception of the season with a pick of Jaylon Henderson in the fourth quarter.
