SERIES INFORMATION
  • Hawai‘i and Boise State met for the 15th time and the ninth time in Honolulu.  Boise State improved to 12-3 overall and 6-3 in Honolulu.
  • Boise State has won the last six meetings by an average of 37.6 points. UH’s last win came in 2007 (39-27) in Honolulu.
  • UH dropped to 7-32 all-time in the Mountain West and 4-17 in conference home games.
 
STREAKS/TRENDS
  • UH has lost three straight games, a season long streak. UH has also lost three straight home games (vs. UNLV, New Mexico, and Boise State).
  • UH has dropped its last nine games versus Associated Press ranked teams and 13 of its last 14 dating back to 2008.
  • Senior kicker Rigoberto Sanchez is a perfect 11-of-11 on field goals this year after converting field goals of 24, 32- and 34-yards.
  • UH has turned the ball over at least once in each game this season and in 20 straight dating back to last season.
  • UH has lost 29 of its last 30 games on national television dating back to 2011 with its only win during that stretch against Colorado on CBS Sports Network to open the 2015 season.
  • UH allowed an opening drive touchdown by its opponent for the fourth straight game.
  • Dejon Allen made his 35th straight start, the longest streak on the offensive side of the ball. 
          
TEAM NOTES
  • With today’s loss, UH will finish with a losing record in the regular-season for the sixth straight season.
  • Boise State’s 603 yards of total offense were the second most UH surrendered this year (630 vs. California).
  • UH gave up 50+ points for the second straight game and fourth time this season. It’s the most times UH has given up 50+ points in a season in the Division I era (3 in 1976)
  • UH’s 35-3 halftime deficit was its second largest at the break this year (35-0 at Michigan).
  • Boise State had 11 explosive offensive plays (20 or more yards) from scrimmage, the most by a UH opponent this season.
  • UH’s 8.0 TFLs, was the third-highest total this season. Jahlani Tavai led the way with 2.0 TFLs including his team-high fourth sack of the year.
 INDIVIDUAL NOTES
 
  • Paul Harris rushed for a season-high 145 yards on 14 carriers for his first 100-yard rushing game this season and seventh of his career.
  • John Ursua scored his third touchdown of the season with a 5-yard catch from Dru Brown in the fourth quarter. It ended a string of seven straight quarters without a TD for the Rainbow Warriors.
  • Dru Brown rushed for season highs of 11 carries for 61 yards.
  • Rigo Sanchez’ three field goals tonight were a single-game career high.
  • Keelan Ewaliko started his first game of the season at wide receiver and second of his career, finishing with 3 catches for 15 yards. He also threw a pass, which was intercepted by Boise State’s Chanceller James in the second quarter
  • True freshman Keala Santiago made his first career start.
