SERIES INFORMATION
  • Hawai‘i and Air Force met for the 21st time and the eighth time in Colorado Springs.  Air Force leads 13-7-1 overall. Air Force leads 6-2 in Colorado Springs.
  • UH defeated Air Force for just the second time in the last eight meetings.
  • UH regains possession of the Kuter Trophy. UH’s last win against the Falcons came in 2001 and their last win in Colorado Springs was in 1992.
  • UH moved to 7-29 all-time in the Mountain West and 3-14 in conference road games.
 
STREAKS
  • UH has won back-to-back games for the first time since 2010 (at Fresno State and Utah State).
  • UH has not trailed at halftime in the last four games (last at Arizona).
  • UH has turned the ball over at least once in each game this season and in 17 straight dating back to last season.
  • Dru Brown’s streak of 118 consecutive passes without an interception came to an end when Brodie Hicks picked him off in the red zone in the first quarter.
  • Steven Lakalaka scored a TD in his sixth straight game and has scored in 7-of-8 games this season.
  • Dejon Allen made his 32nd straight start, the longest streak on the offensive side of the ball.  
          
TEAM NOTES
  • UH won just for the third time in its last 18 conference road games.
  • UH won away from Aloha Stadium for just the third time in the last 30 games.
  • UH played its first overtime game since a 59-56 loss at Wyoming in 2013. UH improved to 8-4 overall in overtime and 6-1 on the road. UH’s last overtime win came at San Jose State in 2009.
  • UH led at halftime on the road for the second time this season (also 24-10 at San Jose State)  
  • UH won its second consecutive day game and for just the third time in its last 17 day games dating back to 2012.
 
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
  • Dru Brown finished the game with career highs in yards (312), touchdowns (3), attempts (37) and interceptions (2).
  • It was the first 300-yard performance by a UH quarterback since Ikaika Woolsey (356 yards) vs. Utah State in 2014.
  • Steven Lakalaka’s nine rushing touchdowns this season are the most since Alex Green scored 18 rushing touchdowns in 2010.
  • Marcus Kemp recorded a 41-yard reception in the second quarter and has nine catches on the year over 30 yards.
  • Kemp finished with a career-high 151 yards receiving on six catches and posted his second straight 100-yard game, third this season and ninth of his career.
  • Kemp moved past Royce Pollard and Channon Harris for 12th on the school’s all-time receiving list and now has 2,257 career yards.
  • John Ursua tallied career-highs of seven catches and 108 yards, including a 40-yard touchdown reception from Dru Brown that tied the game 20-20 in the 4th quarter.
  • Rigoberto Sanchez made a successful field goal for the sixth game this season, and improved to a perfect at 8-for-8 on the year with field goals of 25- and 35-yards.
  • Redshirt freshman Rojesterman Farris made his first career start at cornerback in place of an injured Jamal Mayo and finished with two tackles.
