  • This was the 10th meeting all-time between the teams and fourth in the last eight seasons. The teams are scheduled to play again in 2019 (Honolulu) and 2021 (Corvallis). 
  • UH has dropped 17 straight nationally televised games dating back to 2011 and are 18-56-2 in 76 all-time appearances.
  • UH dropped to 29-57 all-time vs. current members of the Pac-12 conference.
  • Joey Iosefa scored  three rushing touchdowns on the evening for a new career high. He has scored in six straight games dating back to last season upon returning to the lineup.
  • Senior linebacker TJ Taimatuia recorded his first career interception when he picked off a Sean Mannion pass in the second quarter.  Taimatuia also added a sack.
  • Sophomore Marcus Kemp set new career highs with five catches for 102 yards. He also had a career-long 41-yard reception.
  • Brenden Urban earned his first career start at center in place of an injured Kody Afusia. It ended a string of 13 straight starts on the line for Afusia dating back to the start of last season.
  • Keelan Ewaliko saw his first collegiate action and hauled in a 3-yard catch in the first quarter.
  • Lance Williams blocked Keith Kostol’s punt in the fourth quarter for UH’s first blocked punt since Marrell Jackson at Colorado State on Oct. 27, 2012.
  • Rockne Frietas—Chancellor of UH West Oahu and a former NFL and Oregon State football player —served as the honorary captain. Kody Afusia, Ben Clarke, Scott Harding and Joey Iosefa  served as team captains during the coin toss.
