Post-Game Notes
San Diego State at Hawai‘i
Nov. 16, 2013

The last time UH started a season 0-10 was during the winless campaign of 1998 (0-12).

The 10-game losing streak is the second longest in school history.

UH is one of five remaining winless teams in the FBS this season.
.
Joey Iosefa set a new school record with 37 carries. He had tied the previous school record of 35 the week prior at Navy, giving him 72 carries over the span of two games.

Iosefa finished with 150 yards and two touchdowns (one rushing, one receiving). He is the first UH player to rush for 100+ yards in back-to-back games since Alex Green (four straight) in 2010.

The 28 points by San Diego State was a season-low for a UH opponent this year

UH played its first overtime game since 2009 (17-10 win at San Jose State) and first overtime game at home since 2004 (35-28 loss to Florida Atlantic).

UH dropped to 7-3 all-time in overtime and had a string of four straight overtime wins snapped.

Sophomore Harold Moleni scored his first career touchdown on a 31-yard catch from Sean Schoreder in the 2nd quarter.

Scott Harding booted his third punt of at least 60 yards this season with a 61-yarder in the second quarter. Harding’s career long is 62 yards set in UH’s last home game vs. Colorado State.

Senior wide receiver Billy Ray Stutzmann extended his streak to 30 straight games with a reception following his 8-yard catch in the first quarter. It was Stutzmann’s only catch of the game.
.
UH held the lead at halftime for just the second time in 10 games this year (also at UNLV, 17-13, Oct. 12).

UH failed to score in the third quarter for the seventh time in 10 games this year.

Adam Muema finished with 163 rushing yards on 24 carries to become the fifth straight UH opponent to rush for at least 100 yards in a game.

Sophomore Samson Anguay made his first career start at wide receiver. Anguay finished with one catch for five yards.

UH sported throwback uniforms for Retro Night. The Under Armour jerseys were patterned after ones worn by UH in the 1960s while the helmet (white with green stripe) is a replica of the ones used in the 1950s and '60s.

Sean Schroeder and Joey Iosefa served as team captains during the coin toss. Former Rainbow Warrior offensive lineman and Kaua‘i mayor Bernard Carvalho.
