UH was shutout for the first time since a 28-0 home loss to SMU on Oct. 3, 1998. UH had scored in 182 straight games prior.
 
The 47-point loss at BYU was UH’s largest margin of defeat since a 70-14 loss at Fresno State in 2004.
 
It was the team’s worst shutout loss since a 63-0 loss at Colorado State in 1997.
 
UH surrendered 396 yards rushing, the most since Fresno State gained 503 yards in 2004.
 
UH’s 149 yards of total offense was its least since gaining 145 yards in a 1996 home loss to BYU.
 
UH’s 108 passing yards was its least since a 102-yard performance in a 1998 home loss to San Jose State.
 
BYU leads the overall series 21-8, including winning all nine meetings in Provo.
 
BYU has won nine of the last 10 meetings.
 
The teams are scheduled to meet again next season in Honolulu (Dec. 7, 2013).
 
UH made its 61st all-time appearances on national television and now is 17-42-2 record in those games.  UH has dropped seven straight nationally televised games dating back to last season, including an 0-3 mark this year.
 
UH dropped to 5-8 on ESPN Friday Night games, which includes two losses at BYU (also in 2002).
 
UH has lost its last five non-conference road games and is 3-13 in non-conference road games since 2002.
 
The Warriors recorded a season high four sacks, including 1.5 by defensive end Tavita Woodard.
 
UH was shutout in the first half for the second time this year on the road (35-0, at USC).
 
The Warriors blocked an extra point attempt for the second straight game when defensive lineman Beau Yap blocked Riley Stephenson’s kick in the second quarter.
 
Taysom Hill’s 68-yard touchdown run in the 2nd quarter was the longest rush and second longest play from scrimmage by a UH opponent this year.
 
Redshirt freshman Will Gregory (RB) and junior college transfer Mike Milovale (left guard) made their first career starts on offense. Senior safety Leroy Lutu made his first career start on the defense.
 
Gregory carried the ball 20 times for UH, the most carries by a Warrior since Thero Mitchell’s 21 carries in 2001 at SMU.
 
Freshman Ne’Quan Phillips recorded the team’s first interception of the year and his first career interception overall with a first quarter pick of Taysom Hill.
 
Billy-Ray Stutzmann returned to the starting lineup after missing the last two games with a hand injury. Stutzmann finished with a team-high four catches for 65 yards.
 
UH senior punter Alex Dunnachie made his season debut after serving a three-game suspension. Dunnachie averaged 48.8 yards on eight punts, including four punts of 50+ yards and a long of 60 yards.
