With its seventh win, UH accepted an invitation to the Sheraton Hawai‘i Bowl following the conclusion of the game. It is the earliest the program has ever secured a bowl bid.
 
UH became bowl eligible for the seventh time in the last nine years.
 
UH has won its last nine homecoming games.
 
UH has won its last eight WAC games dating back to last season.
 
Idaho scored a field goal on its opening drive, the first time a UH opponent scored on its opening drive since the season opener against USC.
 
It was also the first time UH trailed in a game since going down 10-7 in the second quarter against Fresno State on Oct. 9.
 
With 326 passing yards against Idaho, Bryant Moniz became the fifth quarterback in school history to surpass 3,000 passing yards in a season, joining Colt Brennan, Timmy Chang, Dan Robinson and Nick Rolovich.
 
Moniz has thrown at least one touchdown pass in every game this season after finishing with three scoring passes.
 
Greg Salas has caught a pass in 36 straight games dating back to his sophomore season.
 
Salas finished with 11 catches for 168 yards for his seventh 100-yard game of the season and 16th of his career. He has gone over 100 yards in each of the last six games, all UH wins.
 
Senior wide receiver Kealoha Pilares scored his team-leading 12th touchdown on a 4-yard catch in the second quarter. He has scored in a seven of nine games this year.
 
UH forced four turnovers against the Vandals. During its six-game win streak, the UH defense has forced 21 turnovers, including 14 interceptions.
 
Richard Torres scored his first career touchdown when he returned a fumble 57 yards for a score. It was the second straight week UH has scored off a fumble return.
 
Mana Silva posted his team-high fifth interception of the year and now has 12 career interceptions, one short of the school career mark.
 
Reigning WAC Player of the Week Corey Paredes recorded an interception for the second straight week and has three picks in the last two weeks.
 
Vaughn Meatoga recorded his first sack of the year when he took down Nathan Enderle in the first quarter.
 
Liko Satele blocked a 26-yard field goal attempt in the second quarter, UH’s second blocked field goal this year. John Hardy-Tuliau also blocked a kick at Army (Sept. 11).
