We knew they were going to be in a three-quarter press and drop back into a zone and they tried to make us shoot over it but we just didn’t make shots and when you don’t make shots then they stay with what’s working and certainly they forced us into taking some shots that we didn’t need to take. On a normal day we’ll make those shots, Dwain (Williams) is not going to go 1-for-10 every night.
We just have to realize that the conference is a lot more physical. Tonight’s game was very, very physical. When you have small guards it just beat you up. The referees did a good job of controlling the game but our guys have to realize how physical this conference is.
Paul (Campbell) just works and he gets his (points) by moving without the basketball by being active on the offensive boards and going out and doing his job on a daily basis. We don’t really run any sets for him but he don’t care, he just goes and gets it off the backboard and his teammates do a good job of finding him in areas where he’s supposed to be.
We have to let this one go, this is one that got away from us so we have to let it go and put all of our attention to Boise on Monday we certainly can’t afford to get two losses here at home to start the conference and to be in it at the end.
