Biography

2013 (Sophomore): Saw action in 19 matches as a serve and defensive specialist...tallied a total of 18 digs on the season...had a career-high three digs on three occasions; San Diego (9/1), Santa Clara (9/6), and Long Beach State (11/2)...also had a career-best two service aces vs. Portland State (9/12).

2012 (Freshman): Saw action in five matches...recorded one dig against San Francisco (Aug. 31)...had one service ace against Cal State Fullerton (Nov. 21).

2011: Redshirted.

Prep: A 2011 graduate of Hawai‘i Baptist Academy in Honolulu, O‘ahu...lettered in volleyball for three seasons under Myles Shioji and in paddling for one season under David Ahia...two-time first team all-state selection (2009 and 2010)...also selected second team all-state in 2008...her team won the ILH and state title in 2008 and 2009.

Club: Played five seasons for the Asics Rainbows...team won the Under-14 Junior Olympic Championship.

Personal: Born in Honolulu, O‘ahu... major is natural resources and environmental studies... has one sister...parents are Robert and Lisa Kawamura of Honolulu, O‘ahu.
