2002-03 (Sophomore): Joined the team on December 27 after leading Rainbow Wahine volleyball team to NCAA Tournament semifinals...led team in scoring (11.5 ppg), field goal percentage (.503) and free throw shooting (.816), including a perfect 10-of-10 vs. SMU (Feb. 6)...second in rebounding (7.0 rpg)...tallied 13 points and seven rebounds in first action of the season vs. UTEP (Jan. 2)...14 points vs. Boise State (Jan. 4)...11 points and eight rebounds at SMU (Jan. 9)... seven points and six rebounds at La Tech (Jan.11)...14 points and eight rebounds vs. Nevada (Jan. 25)... scored six of team’s last eight points in comeback win over Wolf Pack...first double-double of the season with 16 points and 12 rebounds vs. Louisiana Tech (Feb. 6)... career-high 20 points and 15 rebounds vs. SMU (Feb. 6)... tied career-high with 20 points at Nevada (Feb. 20)...13 points at Fresno State (Feb. 22)...14 points at UTEP (March 8)...14 points and 11 rebounds at Tulsa (March 12)... five career double-doubles....Honors: WAC Player of the Week (Feb. 10).

2001-02 (Freshman): Appeared in 23 games after joining the team following an All-American season with the Rainbow Wahine volleyball team....averaged 6.1 ppg and 5.6 rpg, tops for all reserves...scored five points in seven minutes in debut vs. Charlotte (Dec. 17)...tallied six points, seven rebounds and two blocks in 18 minutes vs. Cleveland State (Dec. 18)...recorded first career double-double with 16 points and 15 rebounds in 31 minutes vs. San Jose State (Jan. 5)...sat out game vs. SMU (Jan. 11) after being hospitalized with abdominal pain...grabbed eight rebounds at SMU (Feb. 9)...seven points, 11 rebounds, two assists and two blocks at Fresno State (Feb. 21)... 10 points and four rebounds at Nevada (Feb. 24)...10 points and six rebounds vs. UTEP (Feb 28)...tallied second career double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds vs. Louisiana Tech in Western Athletic Conference Tourney Championship (Mar. 9) ...WAC Rankings: Overall - 10th in FT percentage (.721)...14th in blocks (.068)... Volleyball: Played four seasons for the Rainbow Wahine under head coach Dave Shoji... helped the Rainbow Wahine to back-to-back appearances inteh NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Tournament national semifinals…selected as a three-time American Volleyball Coaches Association All-American and the 2003 AVCA National Player of the Year…As a senior in 2003, ranked second nationally in kills per game with 6.59 while adding averages of 2.99 digs and 0.62 aces per game…for her career, averaged 5.91 kills per game, which ranked third-best in NCAA history at the time…also contributed 1,440 digs, 194 aces and 291 blocks over 459 career games.

Prep: A 2000 graduate of Assumption High School in Napoleonville, La…a member of the U.S. Junior National team and was the only high school junior on the team…lettered in three sports, receiving all-state honors in volleyball, basketball and track and field…in volleyball, led her team to three consecutive state championships while also being named Louisiana player of the year in her junior and senior seasons…also a four-time all-state nominee and four-time all-District 5-4A most valuable player…in basketball, named to the all-state team four times and earned Louisiana player of the year accolades twice… named to Volleyball magazine’s Fab 50 list as well as first team All-America…also selected to the All-Stater Sports’ Super 75 list…coached by Sandy Fussell in volleyball…member of the science club, student council and computer club.

Personal: Born in Houma, La…recruited in volleyball by Long Beach State, Stanford, Texas A&M and Florida and in basketball by LSU, Tennessee and SMU…has five brothers and one sister…parents are Lula Mae Willoughby and Vincent Gaines of Napoleonville, La.
