Biography


2010-11: Sailed in eight coed regattas… raced in the Stoney Burke Intersectional (Oct. 13-14) in the A Division helping the UH team capture first… competed at the PCCSC Match Race Championship (Oct. 23-24) finishing third as a team… assisted the team in claiming seventh at the Peter Wenner Rainbow Invite (Jan 22-23) on the Rainbows 2 team… concluded the Spring season by racing in the PCCSC Team Race Championship (Apr. 16-17) helping the team to a third place finish. 

2009-10: Sailed in four coed regattas…part of the squad that captured the Stoney Burke Intersectional (Oct. 10-11)…helped UH place fourth at the PCCSC Dinghy District Championships (Apr. 17-18) and earn a berth into ICSA nationals.

2008-09: Sailed in two regattas…assisted UH to a fifth place finish at the Jeremy McIntyre Team Race (Mar. 7-8) and the UH Green team to a sixth place finish at the Peter Wenner Rainbow Invite (Jan. 17-18) taking 5th in B division.

Prior to UH: Attended and sailed for Santa Barbara Community College for one year…placed 6th at the North/South regatta.

Prep: A 2007 graduate of San Marcos High School in Santa Barbara, Calif.

Personal: Born in Santa Barbara, Calif…major is undecided…has one sister, Sarah…parents are Tracy and Ed Schifferns of Santa Barbara, Calif.
