Biography

2019-20 (Senior):
  • Awards and Honors: MPSF Male Swimmer of the Year, CSCAA All-American Team, CSCAA Scholar All-American Team, MPSF All-Academic Team.
  • Qualified for the NCAA Championships in two events, including the 100 and 200 breast. 
  • Won an individual and two team titles at the MPSF Championships (Feb. 19-22). Claimed first place in the 100 breast and was contributing member on the 200 and 400 medley relay teams. 
  • Finished the season ranked No. 9 in the nation in the 100 breast, clocking in at 51.71, a time he accomplished at the Bulldog Last Chance meet (Feb. 29). 
  • He placed first in 100 breast in the dual meet with Wisconson (Jan. 9) and in a tri-meet with Arizona and Denver (Oct. 25-26)

2018-19 (Junior):
  • Awards and Honors: Garnered All-American Honorable Mentions accolades and earned first-team MPSF honors in the 200 Medley Relay. Recipient of the Peter Chi Most Inspirational Award. Named Earned MPSF All-Academic Honors
  • vs. CSU Bakersfield (Oct. 18-20): competed in three events (50 Y Free, 50 Y Breast and 100 Y IM). Finished as the top swimmer in the 50 Y Breast (25.14) and second in the 100 Y IM (51.55). Also finished 15th in the 50 Y Free (21.58).
  • Roadrunner Invite (Oct. 20): swam to a first-place finish in the timed finals of the 200 Y Breast (2:01.25) and earned second in the 200 Y IM (1:54.81). Placed ninth in the 50 Y Free (21.64).
  • Art Adamson Invitational (Nov. 14-16): competed in five events (100 Y Free, 50 Y Breast, 100 Y Breast, 200 Y Breast and 200 Y IM). Registered a 1st-place finish in the 100 Y Breast (52.70) and nabbed silver in the 200 Y Breast (1:56.08). Recorded a time of 1:49.96 for 18th in the 200 Y IM.
  • NCAA Championships (Mar. 28-30): competed in three events (50 Y Breast, 100 Y Breast and 200 Breast). In the final round, placed 14th in the 100 Y Breast (52.22) and 15th in the 200 Y Breast (1:53.80). Earned personal best times in the preliminary rounds of each event: 50 Y Breast (24.20), 100 Y Breast (51.98) and 200 Y Breast (153.33).
2017-18 (Sophomore): 
  • Awards and Honors: Earned two MPSF first-team honors in 100 Breast and 200 Breast, along with a second-team honors in 200 Medley Relay. Earned MPSF All-Academic honors. Named to the CSCAA Scholar All-America team.
  • vs. Purdue (Jan. 2): Finished 3rd in two swims, 100 Y Breast (55.87) and 200 Y Breast (2:03.60) and finished 7th in 200 Y IM (1:57.88)
  • Art Adamson Invitational (Nov. 16-18): Finished 43rd in a preliminary heat for 50 Y free (21.29), and competed in 3 final heats gaining personal best times in all. Finished 6th in 100 Y Breast (54.36), 13th in 200 Y Breast (2:00.89), and 31st in 200 Y IM (1:54.03)
  • Hawaii Senior Fall Championship (Nov. 11): Finished in the preliminary heat with a personal best in 200 Y IM (1:53.26)
  • vs. UC Santa Barbara (Oct. 29): Finished in the top 3 in all events swam. Finished 1st in 100 Y Breast (56.07), 1st in 200 Y Breast (2:05.14), and 3rd in 200 Y IM (1:56.58)
  • vs. CSU Bakersfield, Idaho (Oct. 28): Finished in 1st in 100 Y Breast (55.57) and 200 Y Breast (2:03.87)
  • MPSF Championships (Feb. 15-17): Finished with two 1st place personal best swims in 100 Y Breast (53.14) and 200 Y Breast (1:57.38). Also finished with a 12th place personal best in 200 Y IM (1:49.37)
  • NCAA Championships (Mar. 22-24): Finished 21st with a personal best time in 100 Y Breast (52.89) and 32nd with a personal best in 200 Y Breast (1:55.76)
