2013 (Cross Country): Competed in two meets…ran a season-best 5k at the UH-Hilo Invitational…also competed in the Bronco Invitational finishing with a time of (26:00.1).

2011 (Cross Country): Competed in four meets…season-best 5K time was 19:36.3 at the Bronco Invitational…top finish was 13^th at the Big Wave Invitational with a 5K time of 19:55.72…placed 51^st at the WAC Championship (21:02.6)…also competed in the HPU Invitational.

Prep: A 2010 graduate of St. Ignatius College Prep in Chicago, Ill…lettered four times in water polo and three times in swimming…named first-team all-state, all-conference, and all-section in water polo in 2007, ’08, and ’10…member of state runner-up team in 2010 and three-time section champions…captured sectional titles in the 200-meter and 3500-meter free.

Personal: Born in Chicago, Ill…intends to major in sociology…has two sisters…parents are Romiro and Celia Almarez of Chicago, Ill.
