2003-2004: Participated in four regattas...placed ninth at the PCIYRA Singlehanded PCC's...finished second at the Rainbow Invite and fourth int he A division...helped UH sweep the PCIYRA's by helping the team race team.

Hobart College: Attended the Hobart College in Geneva, NY...was named most improved sailor in 2003.

Prep: A 2001 graduate of Orono High School in Long Lake, Minn...earned three letters in hockey under coach kevin Armstrong.

Personal: Born Dec. 28, 1982, in Wayzata, Minn...an environmental studies major...has one sister...parents are Susan and Mark Oppen of Wayzata, Minn.
