The University of Hawai'i women's soccer team will open the 2026 season on the program's newly completed on-campus field. The temporary move from Waipi'o Peninsula Soccer Stadium includes the season-opening homestand and comprises 12 total contests and three tournaments.
 
UH's season opener is Thursday, Aug. 13, versus Texas Tech at 4 p.m. as part of the three-team, two-day OUTRIGGER Soccer Kickoff tournament. The Rainbow Wahine will also face Kansas State on Sunday, Aug. 16, at 4 p.m.
 
UH will play its first seven matches on the Mānoa campus and will continue to evaluate a potential return to Waipi'o Stadium for Mountain West competition beginning in October.
 
Phase I of the on-campus field was recently completed as a track-and-field and soccer facility. UH will install temporary bleachers and other event infrastructure necessary to accommodate teams, officials, spectators and television production.
 
K5's UH Athletics television coverage begins Sunday, Aug. 16, when the Rainbow Wahine host Kansas State. Due to the temporary venue setup and the production requirements associated with it, the Thursday, Aug. 13 season opener will not be televised.
 
Admission to matches at the on-campus field is free, although applicable parking fees apply.
