Women's Volleyball Announces 2026 Schedule

HONOLULU — Led by first-year head coach Joshua Walker, the University of Hawai'i women's volleyball team embarks on a new era with a 29-match regular-season schedule. The full 2026 schedule features three early-season tournaments to headline an 11-match nonconference slate leading into UH's inaugural campaign in the Mountain West Conference.

UH's 10 non-conference opponents include five programs that reached the 2025 NCAA Tournament in Baylor, San Diego, Central Arkansas, Iowa State and UCLA.

The 2026 Rainbow Wahine will open the regular season by hosting the Hawaiian Airlines Wahine Volleyball Classic, set for Aug. 28-30 at Bankoh Arena at Stan Sheriff Center. UH will officially open Walker's tenure as head coach by taking on Georgia Southern in the season opener. The 'Bows then take on Baylor, Walker's former team, on Saturday, Aug. 29. They'll close out the weekend against defending West Coast Conference champion San Diego, which will visit Mānoa for the fourth straight year.

The homestand continues with the OUTRIGGER Invitational set for Sept. 3-6. Hawai'i will square off against Utah Tech and Loyola Marymount before continuing its series with former Big West rival UC San Diego.

The 'Bows cap the homestand by hosting a two-match series against reigning ASUN champion Central Arkansas on Sept. 10 and 11.

The 'Bows' first road trip of the season will take them to Las Vegas to serve as host for the Lucky Aces Women's Volleyball Invitational set for Sept. 18-20 at the Orleans Arena. UH is hosting the tournament in conjunction with the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority and will open the weekend by taking on Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. The 'Bows then face Iowa State before renewing the program's storied rivalry with UCLA in the 80th meeting in the series.

UH opens its first Mountain West campaign with a home series with New Mexico on Sept. 25 and 26. The previously announced conference schedule also features home series against San Jose State, UNLV, Nevada, and Air Force. The team will travel for road matchups against Grand Canyon, Wyoming, UC Davis and UTEP.

Two dates during the 'Bows' final homestand have been changed since the conference's original release. UH will face Nevada in a two-match series on Thursday, Nov. 5 and Saturday, Nov. 7. The 'Bows' final regular-season home series with Air Force will open on Thursday, Nov. 12 and they'll celebrate Senior Night on Friday, Nov. 13.
