The Rainbow Wahine and Rainbow Warriors begin a new chapter this season as members of the Mountain West Conference
. Last year, both teams closed their tenure in the Big West by sweeping the Big West Championships. Hawai'i looks to carry that championship momentum into the new season starting in La Jolla.

For the Rainbow Warriors, look out for Tom Thalau, Victor Dagenais, and Evan Pickles to make some waves. Thalau is a junior from Stuttgart, Germany, specializing in the individual medley and breaststroke, Thalau made an immediate impact in his first year at UH. He set a school record with a 1:33.25 anchor split in the 800 free relay and ranks in the program's top 5 in the 200 breaststroke as well as the 200 and 400 individual medley races. Dagenais is a junior from Montreal, Quebec, also holds multiple spots in the UH record books, boasting top-10 times in the 100 free, 200 free, and 200 butterfly and senior distance specialist, Pickles posted top UH times in two events last season. He ranks sixth in the 400 individual medley (3:51.21) and eighth in the 1,650 freestyle (15:32.31).

Rainbow Wahine swimmers Zofia Tyminska, Quincy Key, and Brooke Bennett will lead the women's team into the the Invitational. Tyminska is a senior from Warsaw, Poland, looking to finish her collegiate career strong, Tyminska set three top-3 program performances last season. She ranks third all-time at UH in the 100 breaststroke (1:00.41), 200 breaststroke (2:11.56), and 200 individual medley (1:58.09).  A standout sprinter from Albuquerque, N.M., Key climbed to No. 10 on UH's all-time list in the 50 freestyle (22.65). Her performance against Utah—anchoring silver-medal finishes in the 200 medley relay (20.09 split) and 200 free relay (19.87 split)—earned her Big West Athlete of the Week honors. Bennett is a  sophomore distance swimmer from Christchurch, New Zealand, Bennett broke into UH's top 10 in both the 1,000 freestyle (10:10.03) and 1,650 freestyle (16:58.99).
