LAS VEGAS, Nev. — The University of Hawai'i women's basketball team claimed two of the Big West's major awards and a total of five members of the Rainbow Wahine roster received recognition on the 2025-26 all-conference teams announced on Tuesday.
Guard
Bailey Flavell was voted the Big West Freshman of the Year and center
Ritorya Tamilo earned the conference's Best Sixth Player award.
UH senior
Imani Perez made the All-Big West second team and All-Defensive Team for the third straight season. Senior forward
Saniyah Neverson and Flavell also made the all-conference second team.
Keiara Curtis earned a spot on the All-Freshman Team along with Flavell.
The Big West Freshman of the Year award went to a Rainbow Wahine player for the fifth time overall and the second straight year. Flavell led the 'Bows in scoring in 15 games this season and is on track to become just the fifth freshman since 1978-79 to lead the team in scoring average and the first since since Kamilah Jackson averaged 11.9 points per game in the 2010-11 season. Flavell has scored 20 points or more in four games this season and has 18 games in double figures.
Tamilo earned the Freshman of the Year award last season and picked up her second conference honor coming off the bench as a sophomore. Tamilo ranks third in the Big West with 1.43 blocked shots per game and is fourth with 40 total blocks, 33 coming in conference play. She averages 5.8 points and 4.3 rebounds per game and is shooting 50.4% from the field. Tamilo is the sixth UH player to earn the Big West's Best Sixth Player award.
Perez picked up All-Big West honors each of her four years at UH and earned a place among the top defensive players in program history. Perez leads the Big West and ranks 39th in the nation with 1.66 blocks per game. She also leads the conference with 48 total blocks, tied for the eighth highest single-season total in program history. On the offensive end, Perez is shooting 50.3% from the field overall, 46.7% from 3-point range, and 83.7% at the free-throw line. Perez's current career field-goal percentage of 51.8% would rank third on UH's all-time list.
Neverson emerged as one of UH's most consistent contributors after transferring from Northern Arizona, where she was the Big Sky's Top Reserve last season. Neverson and Flavell are the only UH players to start all 30 games this season. Neverson has scored in double figures in 18 games this season and ranks second on the team with 9.8 points per game. She is shooting 50.9% from the field overall and 57.7% in Big West games to lead the conference.
Curtis developed into a dynamic playmaker in her freshman season while averaging 9.4 points on 41% shooting. Curtis closed the regular season leading the team with 63 total assists and has hit a team-high 39 3-pointers on 39% shooting beyond the arc. Curtis has started the last 14 games after coming off the bench earlier in the season.
