Men's Basketball

Men’s Basketball Home Game Versus UCSB On Feb. 21 To Air Nationally; Tipoff Moved To 5 P.M.

IRVINE, Calif. – The Big West announced the University of Hawai'i men's basketball team's home contest versus UC Santa Barbara on Saturday, Feb. 21 will be televised nationally on ESPNU. Tipoff for the Rainbow Warriors and Gauchos has been moved to 5 p.m. HT at Bankoh Arena.

It will be a pivotal game on a momentous weekend. The evening is dubbed Anthony "AC" Carter Night in which UH's former All-American great will have his jersey retired – just the second retired jersey in program history. Ticket deals and more information on "Legends Weekend" can be found here.

Hawai'I (17-5, 9-3 Big West) and UC Santa Barbara (16-8, 9-4 Big West) are currently in the thick of the race for the Big West regular-season title. After winning its 10th straight home game versus UC San Diego, UH moved into a tie for first in the league standings with UC Irvine. UCSB sits just a half game behind them. The 'Bows will look to exact revenge on the Gauchos who won the first meeting in Santa Barbara on January 17.

The game will be UH's second nationally televised game this year. The 'Bows' road game at UC Irvine on Jan. 31 also aired on ESPNU. The five regular-season Big West contests appearing on ESPN Networks this year are selected through a "wildcard" format in which pairings are determined roughly 10 days prior to each game.

Fans are encouraged to wear white that evening in honor of Anthony "AC" Carter.
