HONOLULU--The 45th-ranked University of Hawai'i women's tennis team (3-4, 1-0 Big West) battles No. 51 Long Beach State (5-5, 2-1 Big West) on Saturday, February 28th at 11:00 a.m. HT at the UH Tennis Complex. It marks Hawai'i's Big West home opener.

#45 HAWAI'I RAINBOW WAHINE (3-4, 1-0 Big West)
• The Rainbow Wahine made their 2026 debut into the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Poll this week at #51.
-Hawai'i enters the week with a 3-4 overall record and a 1-0 mark in the Big West
-Last week, UH went 1-2 on the road, falling at San Diego (7-0) and at San Diego State (4-0). But the 'Bows battled back to edge out UC San Diego, 4-3 last Saturday. Hawai'i won the doubles point to start the match, but found itself trailing 3-1. UH's No. 5
Hannah Galindo, No. 2
Makeilah Nepomuceno, and No. 4
Sophie Rachor won the last three singles matches to defeat the Tritons, 4-3.
-Galindo continues to lead Hawai'i with a 5-2 overall singles record on the No. 5 and 6 courts. In doubles, Galindo and partner Nepomuceno lead UH with a 3-3 record playing at the No. 2.

Allaire Berl enters the week with a 3-3 record which ranks her second on the team.

-In their last two matches last week, The Beach defeated UC San Diego, 4-3, then fell to Sacramento State, 3-4.
-In dual matches, Cecillia Costa leads the Beach with a 6-4 overall record playing at No. 1, 2, and 3, while Pamela Badillo, Diana De Simone and Paulina Franco Martinessi all have five wins apiece to pace Long Beach State.
-In doubles dual matches, Costa and Franco Marinessi lead LBSU with a 6-1 record, while Badillo and Jagare are right behind at 5-1.
